Existence of incommensurate spiral magnetic structure in Y2Fe17 under high pressure

Magnetization of Y2Fe17 single crystals was measured under pressure up to 10kbar and neutron diffraction studies of powdered samples of Y2Fe17 were performed under pressure up to 30kbar in the temperature range 4–300K. The suppression of the collinear ferromagnetic structure and the presence of the...

Description
Summary:Magnetization of Y2Fe17 single crystals was measured under pressure up to 10kbar and neutron diffraction studies of powdered samples of Y2Fe17 were performed under pressure up to 30kbar in the temperature range 4–300K. The suppression of the collinear ferromagnetic structure and the presence of the non-collinear incommensurate magnetic structure were evidenced under pressure above 12kbar in the whole temperature range.
