Description
Summary:This study failed to show a significant difference in outcome between those receiving propofol versus barbiturates in the treatment of refractory status epilepticus, except in duration of mechanical ventilation. However, due to a failure to recruit sufficient numbers of patients, the trial was significantly underpowered and we recommend caution when drawing any conclusions from the data. Level of evidence: 1− (RCT with a high risk of bias)
