Two Highly Effective Phase-Transfer Catalysts for the Enantioselective Synthesis of ?-Amino Acid Derivatives

In this paper we review our recent studies into the phase-transfer catalysed asymmetric alkylation of glycine imines using quaternary ammonium salt catalysts derived from dihydrocinchonidine and ?-methylnaphthylamine.
