Description
Summary:The underlying purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility of using cognitive style assessment in counseling students interested in the field of school librarianship. For this paper, cognitive style refers to a broad range of characteristics that determine how an individual gathers and processes information and makes decisions. This information about a student, when combined with a model of the "ideal" media specialist, is used to determine the student's existing strengths and weaknesses in relation to the chosen field.
