Summary:In the case of both Bennett and Spelman College, faculty, administrators, students (peer groups), and alumnae work together as socializing agents that are purveyors of the organizational culture. Documents collected from the institutions, transcripts from interviews and research, and observations recorded in research journals were reviewed to find themes, words, and ideas that recur.\n After the ceremony the class valedictorian plants ivy beside one of the campus buildings.
