Description
Summary:The present study was conducted in the municipality of Selvíria, Mato Grosso do Sul State, at the Unesp,Campus Ilha Solteira, in order to evaluate the effect of managements of millet (herbicide, horizontal roller crusher-knifeand brush cutter) and nitrogen doses (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg ha-1) on agronomic characteristics and productivity ofcorn grown in no-till system. The experimental design was randomized blocks arranged in a 4 x 5 factorial design withfour replicates. The millet cultivar BRS 1501 and the corn hybrid 30F35H were used. Plant height, insertion of the firstear,, number of grain rows per ear, grains per row, weight of 100 grains and productivity were evaluated. The resultsshowed that the management used for millet did not affect maize productivity. The highest productivity of maize wasverified with 160 kg N ha-1.
