Description
Summary:The aim of the study was to investigate correlation of immunity structural components (morphologic-functional changes in derma and systemic immune reactionof the organisms of Chernobyl accident liquidators. In 2000-2002, we examined 49 Chernobyl accident liquidators with admitted with coronary artery disease and hypertension. Controls were 61 men who had the same diseases and risk factors but were not under radiation. Immunologic data of 106 practically healthy men is were used normal indices. The derma biopsy was made in 24 Chernobyl accident liquidators; for morphologic control, the skin of 12 autopsy men who were not under radiation. The immunologic study data revealed reliable increase of СD8+ and circulating immune complexes, decreased СD16+, СD72+, IgM, saturation capability of neutrophils; proliferative inflammation of derma vessels and lymphocyte infiltration were seen. All these data show that immune -pathological processes take place in vascular changes mechanisms in these patients and allow to consider radiation as independent risk factor of systemic vascular changes.
