Abstract La lipomatosis gástrica es una enfermedad infrecuente caracterizada por múltiples lesiones tumorales benignas (lipomas), que acorde a su tamaño pueden producir una variedad de síntomas. Por lo general, la enfermedad es documentada incidentalmente en estudios imagenológicos que se realizan para estudiar otras enfermedades y los hallazgos patológicos contribuyen a tener una certeza en el diagnóstico de esta patología. Por el momento, no hay un tratamiento definido para las masas pequeñas y asintomáticas, mientras que para las masas grandes (> 3-4 cm) o sintomáticas se sugiere la resección quirúrgica de las lesiones.
