Summary:In this study, product selection and environmental effects were researched in the facade coatings forming the shells.The exterior wall coverings used in the buildings form the shell of the design. This makes the relationship betweenthe shell of the builder and the outside of the builder. Preferable material properties, resistance to environmentalfactors, external damage to the environment during the production process and user preferences are important. It is astudy to investigate the environmental compatibility and the results of material preferences to be used in accordancewith these properties.In accordance with this purpose; Turkey It is a comparison of preferred exterior facade covering materials byexamining the outer shells of the existing constructions built in the Istanbul city Cibali district. Wood, stone, metal,glass, plastic and etc. to examine the selection and application methods made by examining the bearing systems ofthe coatings.
