Summary:A 35-year-old male was admitted to the hospital because of massive pleural effusion. Aleukocytosis with marked eosinophilia was present and the pleural effusion contained numerous eosinophils. The diagnosis of paragonimiasis Miyazakii was established by immunological studies. This is the third case of this infection in Gunma prefecture.
