| Abstract | Les tumeurs intracardiaques sont rares chez l'enfant et peuvent être révélées par des troubles du rythme. Nous rapportons l'observation d'un nourrisson de 18 mois chez lequel un épisode de tachycardie ventriculaire (TV) a conduit à diagnostiquer une volumineuse tumeur intramyocardique du ventricule gauche évocatrice d'un fibrome. Un traitement par amiodarone a permis une réduction stable de la TV. L'apparition d'une obstruction intracardiaque ou des difficultés à contrôler le trouble du rythme conduiraient à une exérèse chirurgicale.
Cardiac tumors are rare in childhood and can be revealed by arrhythmias. We report the observation of an 18-month-old infant who had an episode of ventricular tachycardia (VT) which resulted in a large intramyocardic tumour diagnosis evocating a left ventricular fibroma. A treatment by amiodarone allowed a stable reduction of the VT. The presence of an intracardiac obstruction or uncontrollable arrhythmias would lead to a surgical resection. |
