In their Communication on page 10521, Thomas B. Poulsen et al. report the highly efficient assembly of a series of alkaloid natural products in the streptazone and abikoviromycin family. Precise orchestration of (asymmetric) redox manipulations and rapid scaffold assembly via a selective Pauson–Khand reaction enabled the syntheses.
