Contamination of Indian Ocean asthenosphere by the Kerguelen-Heard mantle plume

It is argued that the Kerguelen-Heard plume has contaminated large volumes of the Indian Ocean asthenosphere. This has produced the distinctive composition of Indian Ocean MORBs.
