Description
Summary:The authors administered booklet and projector versions of the Category Test of the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Test Battery to brain-impaired inpatients and to nonhospitalized, mostly male controls. Individual subtest and total score correlations between the forms were generally large in the brain-impaired sample. They were lower, although satisfactory, among the controls. Brain-impaired participants made significantly more errors on 6 of 7 subtests and on total scores. All 8 tests for differences between booklet and projector form means and all 24 comparisons of booklet and projector form variances were nonsignificant. These findings support use of the booklet as a convenient substitute for the projector format in populations similar to ours.
