Summary: | Experiments which had obtained opposing functions relating drive (D) and incentive motivation (K) were replicated and possible effects associated with differences in drive operations and intertrial interval were evaluated. Ss were 150 male albino Sprague-Dawley rats. Results were consistent with the additive effects previously reported by F. R. Brush, et al., but failed to replicate the multiplicative function reported by J. R. Stabler (see 37:1). Intertrial interval did not interact with either drive or incentive but did contribute significant main effects. |
