Description
Summary:We investigated for the first time the influence of pore diameter on the growth of nanoporous alumina on convex and concave aluminum surfaces. Due to pore bifurcation and termination, the pore diameter changed characteristically with increasing pore length. We observed clear indications that the growth of individual pores was influenced by neighboring pores. The self-organization on concave and convex substrates may be explained by repulsive interactions between the pores during growth.
