Summary: | The advantages of arc synthesis of carbon nanostructures in a liquid medium have been investigated. Changes in the chemical compositions of the reagents (electrodes and a medium), the high temperature and pressure of the medium, the high cooling rate and the growth of structures in the reaction zone allow the materials with unique properties to be produced. The production of a purer product makes this efficient method promising for the synthesis of carbon nanostructures for different applications. |
