Description
Summary:In the period from 1974 to 1994 there were 2697 patients suffering from the acute myocardium infarct (AIM). The average annual incidence rate of both the sexes amounted to 135,77 patients per 100000 inhabitants of the city of Niš above 30 years of age. Tn the period from 1974 to 1983 the average incidence rate was 111, while for the period from 1984 to 1994 it amounted to 158 of the sick people per 100000 inhabitants of the city of Niš. The linear trend shows (yt=6, 21x-28,43) that-unless some change takes place in the risk factors - we should expect a further increase of the number of the sick. Thus in the year 2000 the number of the sick would amount to 228 while the incidence rate would reach 240 per 100000 inhabitants of Niš.
