Summary:The increase of operational reliability of units and elements of technological complexes are major tasks, the solution of which ensures the growth of productivity and the improvement of the quality of the products. Today, there is a process of intensive modernization of metallurgical enterprises in the Russian Federation, equipping leading enterprises with modern foreign equipment, which, at competent operation, allows reducing production costs. The fulfillment of this task is connected with the issues of increasing the reliability of auxiliary equipment of rolling mills, continuous casting machines (MNLZ), landing presses and other metallurgical facilities. The article touches upon the issue of the optimization of overhauls intervals. To increase the efficiency of the use of diagnostic equipment, it is the most expedient approach to use it for the analysis of equipment for various purposes. The further conclusions are drawn on the application of vibrodiagnostic, thermal imaging equipment with non-destructive testing equipment and the use of combined diagnostic methods.
