Bilateration-Based Localization for UWB-based Wireless Sensor Networks

Description
Summary:Many applications of wireless sensor network require reliable sensor nodes (SN) localization. IEEE 802.15.4a standard defines Ultra-Wideband PHY that enables more reliable RSSI based measurement of distance between SN and reference nodes, and multilateration-based localization as well. High sensitivity of multilateration to the distance estimation errors demands multiple measurements that cause lower energy efficiency and prolongs localization duration. Bilateration-based localization is proposed with better performance for lower number of measurements.
