Description
Summary:The authors search for a convenient indicator. which could make possible on-line monitoring of the area affected by a pulsed magnetic field used as a therapeutic tool. They selected the change of the tissue resistivity at frequencies around 100 Hz as an appropriate parameter to characterize the procedure effect on the organ of interest. They designed a computer based system uses for four electrode impedance measurements. A FFT is used to determine amplitude and phase of the test signal. Preliminary tests indicate a gradual decrease of electric resistivity of tissues in the course of the procedure.
