Summary: | This paper is dealing with the thermal modeling of high-speed asynchronous machines for helicopter using 3D finite-difference thermal equivalent circuit. The main goal of this work is to choose a thermal equivalent circuit (TEC) structure for a generalized low time cost numerical tool aiming to precisely predict the thermal behavior of high-speed asynchronous machines (example taken from the literature to validate the model: 29 kW@12 krpm including water cooling jacket) at steady state, taking into account geometry variations of the machine, particularly stator and rotor pole numbers variation. |
