Summary:Various methods are considered for the represention of knowledge regarding situation recognition in airspace. Their potential is assessed. The advantages and disadvantages of the methods are evaluated for different problems. A hybrid model of knowledge is proposed for situation recognition on the basis of structures of purposes and an artificial neural network. The quality of recognition by means of the proposed model is assessed.
