Description
Summary:In order to satisfy national electricity demand, inter-continental or inter-country electricity import has become necessary. The transmission plan should be ready even for emergency aspect. For that scenario, HVDC transmission plan is more advantageous than the HVAC one. In case of the inter-country or inter-continental transmission line, transformer-less HVDC transmission concept maximize the anticipation. In this research, a transformer-less HVDC transmission system has been designed and analyzed for 3500 times lower-scaled prototype. If this transformer-less HVDC transmission is implemented for inter-country power transmission then the transmission costs will be reduced along with the increase of efficiency. The two power systems of different voltages or frequencies can also be easily synchronized so that one system parameter cannot affect the others.
