Description
Summary:This paper presents the association of anomalous electromagnetic signals with seismic activities prior to an impending earthquake and proposes a possible system to detect such anomalies. The detection of such anomalies demands the design of a highly directional antenna. In this paper we have broadly discussed the design and construction of such antenna for receiving VLF signals. Using the antenna we have successfully received and recorded the background noises in a frequency band of 9.7 kHz.
