Description
Summary:This work presents an energy management system-SISGEN that involves the collection, analysis, monitoring and evaluation of energy data in real time. It emphasizes the main aspects in the context of the information systems. The system is already in use for monitoring the consumption and management of the energy supply of the several campuses of University of Sao Paulo-USP. The system is result of the research work and development of GEPEA-energy group of the department of energy and electrical automation engineering of the polytechnic school of USP. SISGEN counts with monitoring software that allows the treatment and follow up, from remote terminals, of several physical parameters that characterize the electrical energy use. Additionally, it counts with physical equipments for collection, transmission and reception of energy data and with software for data acquisition. Finally, as practical example of SISGEN application, the work presents the case study of the energy management at the University of Sao Paulo that has achieved significant results.
