Description
Summary:Transceiver units of various communication systems need single power source. The source must be capable of generating both pulsed and continuous output of different magnitude, duty cycle and frequency with maximum efficiency. The converter which is discussing in this paper, generates four pulsed and one positive and one negative continuous voltages with load and line regulation of ±2% with more than 60% efficiency. The LDO regulators with Pulse amplifier is used to minimize the droop, rise time and fall time of Pulsed output voltages and ripple of continuous voltages with better voltage accuracy. The RCD snubber absorbs the leakage energy of primary winding and reduces the voltage stress on the Main MOSFET. Current mode control technique is used to damp the unwanted oscillations at transient period. The inbuilt EMI filter, overcurrent and under voltage protection feature help to improve the reliability of the converter. The paper explains the design and development of the Flyback converter with practical results.
