Description
Summary:Leveraging the capabilities of the Internet of Things (IoT) within smart healthcare services yields significant advantages, fueled by the widespread accessibility of interconnected systems worldwide. This study explores provides the early prediction and early detection of chronic diseases, culminating in the development of a chronic disease parameter measurement system. Leveraging two key technologies, IoT and IoT platform which is Thingsspeak, the system aims to enhance outcomes for chronic patients by early identification of physiological deterioration. Parameters such as Body Temperature (BT), BP(Blood Pressure) and PR (Pulse Rate) are measured and sent to the cloud via Thingspeak. Medical authorities analyze the data remotely and decide whether a patient needs to visit the hospital. Offering a convenient method for monitoring patients in their homes, the proposed system predicts chronic disease features using an Early Warning Score (EWS) derived from collected readings. The system calculates the EWS by comparing current and past data, showcasing its effectiveness in minimizing avoidable hospitalizations.
