Summary: | The Internet of Things-based monitoring system is a quickly evolving and spreading technology that is used to modernize systems to support life and society. In this work, we propose a novel health monitoring system for coma patients based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence. The work is divided based on a multi-sensor system, which is applied scientifically and practically on the patient's body including a heart rate sensor, oxygen level in the blood sensor, ECG sensor, and a digital camera for monitoring the patient's eye. These sensors are connected to an embedded system, which can monitor the patient's health and provide an alarm system to notify the doctor in case of an emergency. The system is applicable and safe, also there is no need for much clinical staff or accompanying persons to be physically present inside the intensive care room to check the patient's condition when he wakes up. In the event of any sudden changes in vital health parameters, the supervising doctor will make the correct decision based on the correctness of the digital data, we got tangible results in readings of IoT sensors such as ECG sensor with 97.6% accuracy and pulse oximeter sensor with rates up to 96% SPO2 accuracy as well as 83% BMP accuracy, as well as accurate results for digital camera sensor with high accuracy of 94.9% and these Tangible results with high success rates. |
