Description
Summary:Tribological behaviour of Polypropylene (PP) reinforced with carboxyl functionalized multi walled carbon nano tube (MWCNT- COOH) nanocomposites prepared by melt blending using injection moulding were studied. The experiment was conducted by taguchi technique using the L18 orthogonal array for dry sliding condition at room temperature. Sliding speed, applied load and MWCNT-COOH wt% are the testing variables, and wear rate was seen as the solution. The influence of MWCNT-COOH on the wear properties was examined. Wear resistance has been found to increase with increasing the percentage of MWCNT-COOH due to uniform distribution of MWCNT-COOH in PP.
