Description
Summary:The planar distributed function generator (PDFG) is a new type of analog computing element based on monolithic integral circuit techniques. It can be designed by a computer to provide a variety of functions -- logarithmic, sinusoidal, square-law, air-date, ballistic, etc. As a basic nonlinear element in analog systems, the device can replace diode-resistor networks, shaped potentiometers, resolvers, cams, and other bulky or expensive components.
