Description
Summary:In this work a high-strength composite material based on aluminum was obtained using additional pressure on the melt during crystallization, its structure and properties were studied. The research was carried out using X-ray phase analysis, electron microscopy and mechanical tensile tests. The mechanisms of mixed fracture of an alloy with a eutectic structure are determined. The technology and design features of laminar filling of the mold with melt have been developed in order to minimize the formation of technological casting defects. It is shown that in terms of properties the obtained alloys can compete with modern industrial foundry alloys.
