Description
Summary:Due to the difficulty of access and the small number of potential users, there are still many rural areas in Indonesia that do not have access to electricity. Microgrid is one solution to this problem. Using their available energy sources directly without connect it to the grid is cheaper. This paper describes the design and optimum sizing of microgrid for the case of Bangko Island from technical and economic point of view. From the simulations carried out using HOMER Pro, a system with PV capacity of 48 kWp, 287 kWh of battery bank, and 22,4 kW converters is the best system to be implemented in Bangko Island with NPC is Rp. 3,385,657,076.
