Description
Summary:Nurse scheduling problem is one of combinatorial optimisation problems, and it is difficult to search for optimal solutions. This paper describes how bacterial evolutionary algorithm (BEA), which is one of evolutionary algorithms, is applied to search for the optimal solutions of nurse schedules. It takes a large amount of computation time for the scheduling. The nurses scheduling system is implemented on a hardware executed BEA for acceleration, and the system performs in real time.
