Description
Summary:Sendebar is an hispanic text that was translated from Arabic in 1253. Its origin is still a matter of debate, among other reasons, because the Arabic source used for the Spanish translation is unknown, among other reasons. This article compares between the structures of the frame story//framing device of the Arabic versions of the The One Thousand and One Nights and A Hundred and One Nights in order to analyze the closeness among these texts, hoping to shed some clarity and add information to a text that is both fascinating and mysterious El Sendebar es un texto hispánico traducido del árabe en 1253, cuyo origen aún es fuertemente debatido, entre otras razones porque se desconoce la fuente de la que se realizó la traducción al castellano.
