Description
Summary:It is extremely difficult for mute people to convey messages to ordinary people. Since ordinary people are not accustomed to signing language, here the proposed design is a smart speaking system that helps mute people to convey their message to ordinary people using hand locomotive gestures. The system consists of a glove with a flex sensor, accelerometer, Arduino Uno board, speaker, voice module, and liquid crystal display. Around eight messages are stored inside the Arduino board. The system interprets the person's hand motion for different variations of hand movement. The Arduino board receives input sensor values and then processes them. A message is assigned to each sensor value. Once the message gets a match, the corresponding message is spoken out through the speaker and the message will be displayed on the liquid crystal display. Thus, a fully functional smart speaking system can be developed to help mute people.
