PPLN OPO with Intracavity DFG in OPGaAs

Intracavity difference-frequency generation (DFG) in orientation-patterned GaAs (OPGaAs) produces an average power of 24 mW at ∼6.7 μm using a Nd:YAG laser pumped Mgdoped periodically-poled LiNbO 3 (Mg:PPLN) nanosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) operating at 1.5 kHz.
