Surface-Enhanced Hyper-Raman Scattering from Single Molecules

We report on the ability of surface-enhanced hyper-Raman scattering (SEHRS) to detect single molecules. Evidence for this conclusion is provided by measuring a large number of individual spectra from a mixture containing isotopically labeled dye molecules.
