Summary:ABSTRACT The purpose of learning mathematics is not only targeting the achievement of student learning outcomes, but also must be directed to mathematical abilities, namely communication and connection. With a total population of 224 from 4 classes in the Mongisidi complex. Certain considerations were made in this study, where the samples used were at, and with the same character conditions. Then the purposive sampling technique is used with the criteria that have been made. This quantitative study with a Quasi-experimental approach will examine the effect and in some ways, also the relevance of the Match Mine type cooperative learning model and promote it as an effective approach to developing students' mathematical abilities. The findings show that there is a significant effect on the communication and mathematical connection skills of fourth grade students at SD Mongisidi 3 Makassar City, either partially or simultaneously with the average value of mathematical communication skills of experimental class students 61.85 and the post-test average score is higher (67.12 ) than the control class (42,32). Keyword: Match Mine Model, Communication, Mathematical Connection   ABSTRAK Tujuan pembelajaran matematika tidak hanya menargetkan capaian hasil belajar para siswa, namun juga harus di arahkan kepada kemampuan matematis yaitu komunikasi dan koneksi. Dengan total populasi sebanyak 224 dari 4 kelas dalam kompleks Mongisidi. Pertimbangan tertentu dibuat dalam penelitian ini, di mana sampel yang digunakan berada pada, dan dengan kondisi karakter yang sama. Maka teknik purposive sampling digunakan dengan kriteria yang telah dibuat. Studi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasi-experimental ini akan menguji pengaruh dan pada bagian tertentu, juga relevansi dari model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Match Mine serta mempromosikannya sebagai sebuah pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematika siswa. Temuan menujukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi serta koneksi matematis siswa kelas IV SD Mongisidi 3 Kota Makassar baik secara parsial maupun simultan dengan nilai rerata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas eksperiman 61,85 dan nilai rata-rata post-test lebih tinggi (67,12) dari pada kelas kontrol (42,32).
