Summary:	This paper reviews causes and treatment methods for inflammatory forms of pharynx pathology in children. It is shown that the primary cause of pharyngitis pathogenesis is the dysfunction of immunogenic resistance of pharyngeal mucous membrane. It is mucosal immune system that blocks viral and bacterial infections. Taking into account functional principles of mucosal immune system allows creating a personal programme of immunoreabilitation based on physiological and complex principles. At the same time in pediatric practice not only drug efficacy, but also its safety, ease of use and flavor become increasingly important. In this regard possibilities and advantages of locally applied antiseptics for acute pharyngitis treatment in children are considered.
