Pre-operative embolisation of metastatic paraganglioma of the thoracic spine

Abstract We report a 46-year-old male with metastatic functioning paraganglioma of the thoracic spine. Thoracic spine functioning paragangliomas are rare and we describe the benefits of embolisation of the lesion prior to surgical decompression.
