Trapping and manipulation of micro- and nanoparticles on the surfaces of lithium niobate crystals utilizing light-induced electric space charge fields

Inhomogeneous illumination causes charge separation in a lithium niobate crystal which results in field gradients in proximity to the crystal surface. We recorded diverse patterns and utilized the field gradients to trap micro- and nanoparticles.
