Summary:The object is the designing optimal current control algorithms for electric drive and motion of hybrid electric vehicle with constant torque. Currents control algorithms, computer programs and a methodology for the synthesis of optimal control according to the maximum principle with the reduction of electrical energy consumption criteria has been developed. Analytical and numerical methods of mathematical programming and optimal control of electromechanical systems were used. As a result, algorithms and computer programs of the optimal current control, the optimal driving control algorithm and gear shifting time of hybrid electric vehicle were developed
