Theoretical model of loading force versus deflection relationship of concrete rings
A theoretical model for the determination of the relationship between loading force and deflection is presented. Summary: | A theoretical model for the determination of the relationship between loading force and deflection is presented. The analytical expressions of ascending and descending branches of stress-strain diagrams in compression and tension are adopted as a basis. A theory of a curved bar is applied so that nonlinear distribution of strains over the cross-section is taken into account. Comparison of theoretical values with the test results shows that the proposed theoretical model enables a quite realistic determination of deformations on the ascending branch of the loading force versus deflection relationship. |
