Description
Summary:Presents methods for reconstructing digital radiographs from a stack of CT slices. The authors' findings indicate that alpha blended texture mapping is the fastest way to calculate low to medium quality radiographs on hardware accelerated computers. They present a novel algorithm that is designed for high quality radiograph calculation: antialiased splatting with postprocessing. This new algorithm can be used to calculate tri-linearly interpolated high resolution radiographs quickly on standard PCs.
