Description
Summary:The research in this paper uses system dynamics in proposing a business model in post-industrial tourism that aims to create a Theme Park in a mining perimeter in Romania. The proposed model can contribute to a better understanding of how the tourism business works and creates value for stakeholders, as it shows the causal relationships between the variables of the business system. The simulation adds value to this model, as it allows experimentation with alternative growth strategies and, as a result, the identification of those performance patterns that lead to sustainable development. The current hyper-competitive business environment requires tourism organizations to be agile and to adapt quickly to the ever-changing environment.
