Summary:Because of the dispersion of lossy medium, the existing classic similarity ratio is no longer applicable for the target with lossy medium in electromagnetic scaling measurement. To address this issue, this paper proposed an improved lossy material similarity ratio in two steps. First, this paper derived the similarity ratio by introducing the intermediate model under vertical-incidence electromagnetic wave, which based on reflection coefficient. Second, according to the application of lossy medium in stealth design, the similarity ratio under oblique-incidence wave was derived on the basis of first step, which based on the backward reflectivity. Simulation results verify the feasibility and accuracy of the lossy medium similarity ratio in a wide frequency range, the ratio also works well under different polarization and incident angle.
