Summary: | Diaphragms as a part of Seismic Force Resisting System is necessarily to be designed in every new building as they transfer lateral forces to the vertical element. In this study, seismic analysis of multistory building is carried out using ETABS software considering the different diaphragm system (Rigid diaphragm, Semi-rigid diaphragm) with the different shear wall patterns. For the analysis the parameters like Seismic zone factor, Soil type, Response Reduction factor, Time period and Importance Factor is adopted according to IS 1893 (part1) 2016. Response spectrum method of dynamic analysis is used for the seismic loading of the structure. The performance of each case with different diaphragm system and different shear wall patterns is studied and optimum configuration of shear wall patterns for the rigid and semi rigid diaphragm structure is obtained. The seismic variables considered for the analysis are Story drift, Story Stiffness and Story displacement for zone -II. |
