Summary:It is an evaluation of radionuclide bone scanning in detecting bone metastasis in the patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy. The bone scanning was performed in 78 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy. Bone metastasis were detected in 47 patients out of 78, including 46 squamous cell carcinoma and 1 undifferentiated carcinoma. Radionuclide bone imaging is useful for diagnosing, treating and prognosing of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
