Description
Summary:Sale of ticket, the very first stage in rail service for passengers, is critical to the management of the whole system. Based on information of the ticket office at Shijiazhuang South, a queuing simulation system is built. Three indicators, namely usage level, number of customers and queuing time, are obtained by running simulations based on different parameters during peak and off-peak periods. Therefore, an optimised number of ticket window can be found, which will ultimately enhance the efficiency of the organization.
